Kay Crotty

Consultant Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist

Kay Crotty started her career as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist before developing an interest in pelvic floor dysfunction some 25 years ago. She completed a postgraduate certificate in continence in 2002 which peaked her interest in research.

In 2014 she was awarded a PhD for her award winning ultrasound imaging research study that investigated pelvic floor activity in women with and without urinary incontinence. This work was published and presented internationally.

Since then Kay has continued her interest in evidence based practice and has completed a post graduate certificate in Clinical Hypnosis from the University of Bournemouth in order to offer further evidence based tools for the management of urinary incontinence.

Her other post doctoral activates have included teaching; lecturing; consultation to the wearable technology industry in relation to pelvic floor; as well as continuing to run her own busy practice until 2022.

Kay is delighted to be bringing her expertise to MEPS at 8 Dorset Square and is consulting in her particular area of expertise, that of management of stress and urge urinary incontinence in women.
